"If I could say it in words, why bother paint?" Edward Hopper

STATEMENT

Inspiration for me comes from the natural enviroment with its fragility and transience and the patterns and colours of nature constantly intrigue me.

Taking time to absorbe the "feel" of the landscape I then prefer to work intuitively back in the studio.

When I paint I`m looking to be "lost in the moment".

My palett is colourful and varied and has a great importance to what I seek to express.

I paint pictures, but I also see my work as a sort of building process where the many layers of paint, textures and the use of various tools brings the paintings to life.
